Who we are

This website is an independent, non-official information portal about Dubai International Airport (DXB), written for travellers rather than for the airport's operations desk. We are a small editorial team that researches, writes and updates practical guides to getting through, into and out of DXB. We are not affiliated with Dubai Airports, Emirates, Flydubai or any other airline or airport agency.

The airport's own channels do a fine job of running the airport; they are less focused on the traveller's actual questions — which terminal a flight uses, what a taxi really costs, whether the metro takes your suitcase. That gap is why this site exists.

Why a guide to DXB specifically?

Dubai International is one of the busiest airports on the planet and one of the more confusing to navigate first time. Its three terminals do not sit together — Terminal 2 is roughly 7 km from Terminals 1 and 3 — and the choice between metro, taxi, bus, private transfer and rental car changes with your luggage, your budget and the hour you land.

Rather than one thin overview page, we cover each of those decisions in depth: the terminal layout, every way into the city with real prices, where to sleep near or inside the airport, parking rates, and what to do on a long layover.

How we keep the information accurate

Prices and schedules are the parts of any airport guide that rot fastest, so we treat them carefully. Fares (taxi meter rates, Nol card prices, parking tariffs) are checked against the official RTA and Dubai Airports information and dated in the text — you will see "checked" with a month on the volatile facts, so you know how fresh a figure is. We revisit the transport and terminal pages regularly, because a €25M expansion or a new metro rule changes the advice.

We also write in specifics rather than platitudes: exact walking times, real AED figures, terminal-by-terminal tables. Where something genuinely varies, we give a rule for choosing rather than a vague "it depends".
